Corona Virus Update

All parents/carers:

Today is the last day of the spring term, so here is a quick summary of our current status:

  • School remains closed for the large majority of our children until the government asks us to reopen. However, we have been providing home learning packs and are beginning to develop online learning which we hope to increase after the holidays. Don’t forget to check out our Facebook pages for weekly challenges and news from other children.
  • Critical childcare for key workers remains open over the holidays. These parents/carers have been individually contacted with the information they need.
  • We are currently investigating options for provision of Free School Meals after the holidays and parents will be informed of next steps. This provision does not include children who received Universal Infant Free School Meals (YR – Y2) as these are not based on parental income. However, if you are a parent of an infant child and feel that you might qualify for FSM then please apply at https://fiso.norfolk.gov.uk/synergy/Enquiries/Citizen/FreeSchoolMeals.aspx

Key Workers:

We hope that school will completely reopen before the summer holidays, but this is impossible to predict. If, as a key worker, you find that your shift pattern, home circumstances or nature of your work change at any time such that you have no alternative but to seek emergency childcare for your primary age children (not pre-schoolers), please let us know by emailing head@bsf.norfolk.sch.uk.

Welcome to Erpingham VC Church of England
Primary School

"Let us love one another for love comes from God"

1 John 4:7

At Erpingham you will find our core Christian values of love, kindness, friendship and respect running at the heart of everything we do. As a church school, we believe that God has shown us perfect love and it is our job to share this with everyone in our community. We underpin our curriculum and learning with this love, ensuring that we nurture every child, supporting them and their families to be the best that they can be.

As part of our nurturing support, we recognise the amazing impact which Forest School can have and are committed to ensuring that every child can take part in a weekly Forest School session. We also offer flexi-school provision whereby parents can choose to combine home schooling and formal schooling to combine the benefits of child-led learning with the social opportunities which school provides.

If you are interested in finding out more about any of the above, please contact the office for further information.
